Litigation
Our firm is able to deal with all aspects of civil and criminal litigation together with associated areas of work and the provision of advocacy services.
In particular, our firm can provide the following services -
- Advice on the institution of proceedings in the civil courts including the County Court and the High Court for damages and/or injunctions
- Advice on the institution of applications for judicial review against public organisations
- The provision of advocacy services before the Magistrates' Courts and the County Courts
- The provision of detailed advice on all aspects of interlocutory hearings
- The provision of advice on all aspects of detailed assessment proceedings into disputes over legal costs
- Advice and assistance in relation to the recovery of debts and legal costs
- Attending and advising in respect of all aspects of disputes brought before the Magistrates' Courts including Licensing Appeals
- Advice and assistance in respect of all aspects of Local Authority Licensing including Public Entertainment Licenses, Hackney Carriage Licenses, Private Hire Licenses, Sex Establishment Licensing, Extension of Hours, etc..
- The provision of advice and legal services in respect of prosecutions brought before the Magistrates' Courts and on appeal before the Crown Courts
- The provision of general advice on the settlement of disputes including, where appropriate, the use of mediation services and arbitration
- Undertaking legal work and advice relating to contentious matters brought before various Tribunals and Inquiries including disputes brought before the Transport Tribunal, the Employment Tribunal and other tribunals
Our services will also include all the necessary case management work involved in handling disputes brought before the Courts. We can assist in the selection of expert witnesses and in the marshalling of the relevant evidence for submission to the Court or Tribunal. We also provide all the general support necessary in the handling of the paperwork relating to disputes brought before the Courts including also the assessment of the legal costs arising after the conclusion of a case.
