G.H. Bullard

CHARTERED CIVIL ENGINEER

Gerald Henry Bullard C.Eng., M.I.C.E. is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

He specialises in the highway engineering aspects of development from conception through the planning process to the design of the road and drainage infrastructure. He has represented Local Planning Authorities, Highway Authorities, Local and National House Builders and private individuals at Local Planning Appeal and enforcement Inquiries and has acted as an expert witness in highway and drainage disputes.

Before setting up his practice in 1987, he was employed by the West Suffolk and then Suffolk County Councils in the design of road and bridge schemes and for 10 years led the team advising Planning Authorities of the highway issues associated with planning proposals. He also led the team responsibility for carrying out accident remedial schemes within the county of Suffolk and the implementation of traffic management schemes involving the provision of pedestrian facilities and junction improvements. He has been a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, East Anglian Association Committee as both a graduate and corporate member and was for many years, Secretary of the Transportation Group.
