Matrimonial Disputes

PROVISION OF LEGAL SERVICES RELATING TO MATRIMONIAL DISPUTES INCLUDING NULLITY AND DIVORCE PETITIONS TOGETHER WITH APPLICATIONS FOR ANCILLARY RELIEF AND PROPERTY ADJUSTMENT ORDERS INCLUDING ALSO CUSTODY OF CHILDREN AND DOMESTIC INJUNCTIONS INCLUDING ALSO FAMILY MEDIATION SERVICES

  1. We provide comprehensive advice on all aspects of the law and practice relating to matrimonial proceedings including also advice and services relating to the mediation of family disputes.  We are experienced in the provision of advice on the preparation and submission of Petitions fro divorce and for the pursuit of applications for ancillary relief and also for Property Adjustment Orders.  We provide comprehensive advice on all aspects of divorce proceedings and also applications for Court Orders relating to declarations of nullity.
  2. We also provide advice on arrangements for applications for judicial separation and applications for various types of Property Adjustment Orders together also with applications for maintenance and Orders relating to custody and access to children.  We prepare and submit applications relating to Orders relating to children and can also prepare and submit applications for injunctions and for relief from molestation.
  3. Our work particularly focuses upon arrangements for Orders to secure appropriate financial provision on the breakdown of a matrimonial relationship.  We provide advice on financial provision for children and the impact of insolvency.  We also provide advice on practice and procedure relating to applications involving couples involved in cohabitation.
  4. We also provide advice relating to applications for domestic injunctions and particularly with reference to orders excluding the violent partner from the matrimonial home. We also provide advice relating to wardship proceedings and also advice on the law and practice relating to adoption.
  5. We also provide advice on applications for the variation of existing Court Orders where appropriate arising out of previous matrimonial proceedings. We also provide advice on jurisdictional issues and the recognition of foreign decrees. We also provide advice on the tax implications of various family arrangements including the impact of inheritance tax. The law and practice relating to the taxation of individuals in such circumstances is growing in complexity and we can provide up to date advice on all aspects of the relevant financial arrangements.
  6. The policy of our firm is to ensure that our clients receive comprehensive and well rounded adv ice on all relevant aspects of the law that affect their situation.  We find that in matrimonial proceedings it is invariably necessary to also provide detailed advice not only on taxation issues but also on the need to prepare new Wills and also advice on the interpretation of the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependant) Act 1975.  We do indeed find it necessary provide advice on many areas of law which cut across matrimonial law.  We will of course be happy to provide preliminary advice at an initial interview where appropriate.
